And I represent the Mon-Wed-Fri FR103 class! Seeing as how we all have the same syllabus, I want to ask: how relevent do you (as a fellow French student) feel starting off the term learning about the Francophonic countries of the world is to your overall French education?
I think it's a good idea. I think that a lot of students of French are taking the class simply to fulfill the foreign language requirement. But if they start learning about all the places it can be used, they will begin to see other reasons to learn the language, giving them a little more motivation than if it was seen as just another requirement. That's my nickel.
